Restoring dignity to fiction — one book at a time.
About Arborvale Books
Founded in 2020 to stem the rising tide of vulgarity in mainstream genre fiction, Arborvale Books champions well-crafted, imaginative work with wholesome themes and nonfiction offering practical information in underserved niche categories. We are a micro-press that releases only a few books a year; and the Arborvale Books aesthetic is more DIY than avant-garde. Though our roots lie in historical novels, we’ve started building out a roster of genre titles too. No matter what the genre, Arborvale Books strives for quality over quantity. We accept unagented submissions! (see Submission Guidelines, below)
About Alexandra Sinclair

Alexandra Sinclair writes clean, character-rich romances across genres—from Regency drawing rooms to distant stars.
Alexandra Sinclair is a retired teacher, avid gardener, and widowed empty nester who began writing—and ultimately publishing—in 2020 to counter the rising tide of vulgarity in mainstream genre fiction. She creates well-crafted, imaginative stories across multiple genres with one goal in mind: to enrich women’s lives through nourishing, life-affirming fiction.

Though best known for her work in Christian Regency romance, Alexandra also writes speculative fiction—including science fiction and paranormal romance—as well as practical non-fiction rooted in personal experience. Across all her work, certain themes remain constant: emotional strength, moral clarity, spiritual hope, and the transformative power of love.

Her historical fiction is praised for elegant prose, period authenticity, and smart, spirited heroines. Fans of Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer, and Kristi Ann Hunter will recognize familiar rhythms in her writing: witty dialogue, heartfelt tension, and a slow-burn emotional payoff that stays with the reader long after the final page. These aren’t stories of rebellion for rebellion’s sake, but of women who navigate complex relationships and cultural expectations with dignity, loyalty, and courage.

Alexandra’s non-fiction draws from her life as a mother, widow, and teacher—offering insight, humor, and practical encouragement. Whether she’s teaching phonics or tackling budget challenges, her goal is always the same: to leave the reader stronger than she found them.

She lives in Prescott, Arizona, where she’s slowly building a fire-resistant, eco-conscious homestead surrounded by native plants and great books. When not writing, she’s planning her next project, fussing over her garden, or researching obscure historical details for upcoming novels.

“I write because I believe women deserve stories that honor their intelligence, integrity, and complexity. My books are clean, but never simplistic—rooted in realism, but always hopeful.”
